Review Terms

" Your site is responsible for this persons kite flying. The videos and reviews have inspired me, and at least one other person, and that's nearly a grands worth of kites we spent our money on between us so that's no bad thing. Keep the reviews going, test fly the kites :: SteveR UK"

kHiTe is seeking freestyle kites to review from a range of manufacturers. So what's the deal?

kHiTe costs a considerable amount of money and time to run. kHiTe does not sell advertising space to third party's to cover these costs. We are independent. This is an important part of kHiTe's success and we want manufacturers to support us and take part in that success.

So what happens if you send a kite to kHiTe? If you really don't want to part with your merchandise we are happy to offer a basic single page review. For kites donated to kHiTe however we offer a more comprehensive service, including photo's 'Urban Guerilla' style video and interviews.

" Thanks for the video Ed. I've always liked your Urban Guerrilla video style :: Jim B :: USA "

kHiTe reviews kites from the point of view of recreational fliers rather than the perspective of Tricks Party or Ballet Champions. We have found that this is what most recreational fliers need, especially now that people are becoming more suspicious of well edited showcase videos of top level fliers with their personally adjusted kites. Having said that our review team contains some of the best competition fliers in the UK, and we have US and French reviewers if preferred.

Featured Kites will have interviews, video and wallpaper to accompany the review. The reviews tend to be longer and go into more detail. These are kites we generally have spent significant time with, and passed through the hands of a few fliers of different skill levels. Some kites we only get to spend a shorter time with, and these are given standard reviews.

kHiTe Star

The best kites we have flown are awarded the kHiTe Star. These are kites that we feel can take a unique place in a recreational fliers kite bag.

We occasionally preview new, interesting and forthcoming kites.

After being reviewed donated kites have a range of destinations: some in training new fliers, others as part of kHiTe's open kite bag at festivals and in future we will offer kites as prizes for freestyle competitions. If you have any further questions drop kHiTe an email.
