Introduction
Ever since the Fury arrived people have wondered if a smaller version would be available to match the Dot Matrix. Various prototypes have been popping up at UK festivals all summer and at Bristol this year there were a lot of little Fury's, placing 2nd and 4th in the Masters Freestyle Knockout competition.
Smaller but Bigger
The Fury.85 is, surprise surprise, 85% of the size of the original Fury at 2.1m x .95m. It looks closer in size to kites in the 2300mm size band with its deep sail and low aspect ratio design. First impressions suggest that it had retained all of the precision capabilities of it's bigger brother and made the freestyle characteristic of the Fury, which some have found hard to unlock, a whole lot more accessible.
Two Versions
Two versions of the Fury.85 are available for order now.
The first is framed is skyshark P200 and is available in three colours stock for £175. This pricing level makes the Fury.85 the same price as other kites in it marketplace, and retains Carl Robertshaw's policy of charging for the amount of work that goes into a kite rather than it's size.
The second version is framed in Aerostuff 2p UL strong, and pricing details are available from Carl Robertshaw Kite Related design.
Three colour schemes are available for the Skyshark Fury, and a further two for the Aerostuff version.
Availability
The Fury.85 is available for order now, although delivery times are yet to be confirmed. kHiTe expects to have a review kite in the next month.
