The Prism 3D is a legend in it own kite time.
Weighing under 2oz, the 48 inch span kite is framed in micro carbon giving a wind range from 0-10 mph. the 3d is packaged in a very nice kite bag with a set of indoor laser pro lines, an instruction booklet and, bizarrely, a prism sticker. The sail is in Icarex with sensitive parts (spine and standoff points) in Mylar. The inner standoffs are adjustable for different wind conditions.
In flight the 3D is smooth and controlled, thanks is part to the dynamic bridle. The carefully thought out lower spreaders prevent the kite from deforming (unlike some low wind mini kites) when an axle is popped, meaning that axles can be linked together into cascades and other tricks. The 3d flatspins almost without asking, and all the indoor moves are there. The deep sail still has a good amount of glide, meaning the kite will not fall out the air the moment you stop walking.
The 3D is a classic kite. It is expensive, but it is special. i have begun
to take it everywhere with me.
