Enigma £85
enigma is small (1910mm) and very high aspect ratio. the quality of construction is excelent, with good fittings, and an icarex sail. the frame is a mix of thin and thick walled 5.5mm carbon. the wind range is good (5-22mph) but in no wind situations enigma doesn't have enough fabric, as the wind gets up the kite moves faster than I can think!

enigma is high aspect ratio, and carries a deep curve in the leading edge (tensioned with a cord) with a silent taped trailing edge. the sail cut and four stand offs create a sharp 190 mm furrow, the sail pulled tight towards the spine and with folds of slack towards the leading edge gives the impression that this is a high tech design.

enigma flies with little pull (50lb lines), plenty of overstear and a tendancy to overshoot the wind window; okay this is not a precision kite. flickflacks, cointosses, frenchtoast, and even funnywigglythings are all possible. in medium winds no noise accompanies enigma apart from the delightful rustle of icarex at every pop. a good first trick kite.
