The deep sail is made from heavy ripstop nylon, and the frame is hemp-cored carbon, in prisms eyes virtually unbreakable, and I have no reason to doubt that assertion. The bridle is a reverse turbo, and can be switched between freestyle and beginner positions with ease via the centre 2 fitting. In this second mode of flight the 6ft flashback demonstrates good precision and little over steer. Ideal for a first flight.
Switching the bridle to a more adventurous setting and the flashback becomes capable of most of today's innovative freestyle. Axles, cascades, 540's and rock stable fades are all available. Backspins and lazy susan tricks are also there, even when the wind gets up and the kite is quick to deadlaunch when mistakes are made. The flashback is a good starter package, although the fittings were not up to the full prism quality found on high-end kites the flashback is a good deal and a great design.
