The Nitrik Pro is the latest light wind mini kite to hit the kite scene. Framed in 4mm tube we are talking the same territory as a Mini Midi rather than a 3D, however flying the Nitrik Pro in outdoors zero wind conditions is no problem.

The Nitrik Pro features a wing tip bridle, in combination with an in cut trick line and a deep icarex sail. The kite has quite a wide turning circle for a kite this size, looking to encourage a floaty rather than snappy style.

In flight the Nitrik Pro is a capable performer. The kite axles flat and easily, and cascades and fountains can be snapped or teased out the kite. The kite is fast in flic flacs, but can be held in a fade for long periods. Here the Nitrik Pro will backspin forever mid window, and can even be persuade to change direction. Lazy susans require a gentle touch, but are flat and stable.

On the ground the kite will deadlaunch with a bounce action (rather than a double tug) and traditional groundwork is available if the grass is short enough. In winds much above 10mph there is a risk of breaking the frame.

The Nitrik Pro is a joy to fly, and performs as well, if not better than the mini midi. A great kite to have in your bag or luggage.
