Kite videos are often a mixed bag. As far as freestyle is concerned nothing has ever quite come up to the production values of Tricky Flickery, or even the Prism Trick Show. It all takes lots of money.
However for broad content you cannot go wrong with this Video. I picked mine up on VCD, although in general it is a VHS release. It starts with 11 short "trailers", covering festivals, a look at some of the newer power kites and an excellent section of Andy Wardley doing Jacob's Ladders, Cascades and Fountains. Nice. These are all accompanied by music, which varies from Country & Western to Techno. The quality of the music is not brilliant, or necessarily to my taste, but copyright is a big issue here, so it's easily forgivable.
The rest of the video contains a number of longer clips looking at different aspects of kite flying.
Overall this is a excellent set of clips - on VCD it is great to be able to jump forward to the section you want to show people, and the camera work is generally good, especially of the Kite Surfing. For the freestyle flier its worth the money just to be able to put ABW on your Telly!
