"When that I was and a little tiny boy,
With a hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
A foolish thing was but a toy,
For the rain it raineth every day."
Twelfth Night Act V Scene 1
So wrote William Shakespeare, and I think he had this years first Middle Wallop festival in mind! Despite the howling wind and accompanying dampness everyone seemed to be having a good time, even the guy in the coffee tent was happy, despite loosing his original tent to the wind on the Friday afternoon!
Between showers there was plenty of buggying going on, with the Robertshaws offering coaching on the STACK side of things, and showing off their Eyeball Arch.

Freestyle was fairly laid back, with people flying when they could and spending money with traders when they couldn't, either that or propping up the beer tent. I actually got my Gemini out for the first time in a year and a half, although soon found myself pining for the Darkside - especially the Vented which was ideal for the gusty conditions.
Roy and Hayley always put on a good fliers festival, with lots of space, at Middle Wallop, and despite the appalling weather this one was definitely worth the journey.
