Finn, Juha Kokkala, has been flying a prototype by Simo Sivonen, and we have some video. Juha writes:
The
kite is a combination of a nylon proto sail from a few years back and a frame
with reworked dimensions. Originally it was a very high aspect design, but
was recently reborn with extremely long standoffs and thus also a lower aspect.
No extra weights anywhere. Dynamic T15 lower spreaders (can you say stiff?),
5.5mm Exel pultruded LE's, 5mm Exel upper spreader and a 6mm Exel spine ending
at the centre T with a 4mm fibreglass insert that goes all the way from the
nose to form the curving tail. Basic 3-point bridle.
